Surfing in the Faroe Islands can be dangerous and has many precautions. It is only recommended with an acknowledged and experienced guide or professional. The dangers of surfing in the Faroe Islands includes;
- Unreliable forecasts and sudden changes in weather
- Heavy currents, which at times are not visible from shore
- Rough waters and big swells
It is of uttermost importance that you follow our guidelines and instructions while surfing with The Faroe Islands Surf Guide.
Depending on your skill level, we may set some rules for you to follow during your session. This may include;
- Staying close to shore
- Staying within a certain perimeter
- Staying with an instructor for the entire session
By signing this section, you agree to the following;
- I have understood the dangers of surfing in the Faroe Islands
- I have understood that I must follow the rules, guidelines and instructions given by the instructors
- If I do not follow the rules I may be asked to leave the water and return board, wetsuit etc. immediately
Furthermore, it is important that you have understood that surfing in the Faroe Islands is done at your own risk. Please know that by signing this section you agree to the following;
- I understand that surfing in the Faroe Islands is at my own risk
- I understand that The Faroe Islands Surf Guide cannot be held accountable for any injuries or accidents which may occur during my session
- I have read and understood the terms and agreement
In case of reckless behaviour leading to damage done to our equipment, you will be held responsible and a coverage fee of up to 5.000 DKK may be required
